Learn More About Director Brett Ratner’s New TV Series “Rock in a Hard Place”

If you haven’t yet heard about the new television series “Rock in a Hard Place,” you will be very excited to learn about the new show from director Brett Ratner.  You may remember Ratner from his work directing several films including the Rush Hour movie series and X-Men The Last Stand.

In “Rock in a Hard Place,” actress Gina La Piana has been cast in the role of Prism, who is the daughter of Lance “Lint” Jones, a Jewish rock star who is well past his prime in the punk rock scene.  Gina La Piana will bring much to the show in her role as Prism.  She is well known for her Her past work in feature films like “Knockout” and “Jerry Maguire” has been quite memorable.  This is not the first time she has appeared on a TV series, she also has appeared on “Days of Our Lives,” the popular daytime soap that ended last fall and on “Criminal Minds.”

The character Lint will be played by Steven Weber.  Lint was once the singer and front man of a punk rock band called The Prix.  Unfortunately his career did not end in riches and splendor and he ends up going to rehab and then moving back in with his mom.  This show takes a look at what can happen to a person who spends a great deal of their life partying and living a life of complete excess when the rug is swept from beneath their feet and they are faced to start over again.

This series should be full of some really great moments as we get an intimate glimpse into Lint and Prism’s lifestyles.  Expect for this show to make you laugh and cry as you watch everything unfold.  The one thing that sets “Rock in a Hard Place” apart from other television series is the way it explores a possible fate that may befall any musical artist who lives the fast life without a care in the world and ends up with serious substance abuse problems and very little money to their name.
